Eyebrow Movement Analysis over Real-Time Video Sequences for Synthetic Representation
نویسندگان
چکیده
To study eyebrow behavior from video sequences we utilize a new image analysis technique based on an anatomical-mathematical motion model. This technique conceives the eyebrow as a single curved object (arch) that is subject to the deformation due to muscular interactions. The action model defines the simplified 2D (vertical and horizontal) displacements of the arch. Our video analysis algorithm recovers the needed data from the arch representation to deduce the parameters that deformed the proposed model. The present technique is meant to suit real-time requirements and to work under uncontrolled environments: without specific known lighting or special markers on the face, by using only computer vision and image processing methods.

Planelet Transform: A New Geometrical Wavelet for Compression of Kinect-like Depth Images
With the advent of cheap indoor RGB-D sensors, proper representation of piecewise planar depth images is crucial toward an effective compression method. Although there exist geometrical wavelets for optimal representation of piecewise constant and piecewise linear images (i.e. wedgelets and platelets), an adaptation to piecewise linear fractional functions which correspond to depth variation ov...

Objectives: Many countries are faced with the growing population of the elderly each year and so designing an appropriate system for monitoring of various elderly states is necessity. Every year thousands of the elderly suffer serious damages such as articular fractures, broken bones and even death due to their fall Methods & Materials: In this paper, based on the analysis of images taken fr...
متن کاملAction Change Detection in Video Based on HOG
Background and Objectives: Action recognition, as the processes of labeling an unknown action of a query video, is a challenging problem, due to the event complexity, variations in imaging conditions, and intra- and inter-individual action-variability. A number of solutions proposed to solve action recognition problem. Many of these frameworks suppose that each video sequence includes only one ...

متن کاملFirst Results on Facial Feature Segmentation and Recognition using Graph Homomorphisms
A new method for segmenting facial feature regions (e.g. eyebrows, iris, lips, nostrils, ...), in images and video sequences based on graph homomorphisms is introduced in this paper. Firstly, we apply a recently proposed technique based on Gabor Wavelet Networks (GWN) to obtain an approximate location of the facial feature regions in the image. The image is then oversegmented using the watershe...
